Because it bothers some people that we haven't had anything new to announce in some time, and that means we have an old announcement as our most recent, this announcement is simply to point out that we're not yet dead, we just haven't anything new to announce at this time.
Writing goes on, or doesn't, much as it has this past age. Sorry to have not interrupted your writing journey with more exciting news.

lol CP...it's just that that front page "announcement" would turn off any newbies that we might otherwise lure in here and trap. And yeah, as you can tell, it really bugs me...makes us look so "yesterday"
