Ah.
You don't have a lot of those in Indiana. The Colts couldn't score a point to save their lives a few years back, and the seasons were all sold out for 2-3 years in advance.

yet i dont own a jersey for the giants like i do for my rangers and mets. haha
something cool about my job is that i get to put together a super bowl page for the giants.
i'm working on a photo gallery right now for it. hopefully I get it up tomorrow.
in other news, I'm tired. all the time. i dont know what's wrong with me.
i have a new guy situation. it's beyond complicated for me to explain here. the older i get, the more complicated life becomes with relationships *sigh*
and I need a vacation.

A friend of mine once pointed out that in our early 20's, relationships were mostly about "Where do we put our arms and legs?" But as we get older, it's more about "Where do we put the baggage?"
I can pretty much say with confidence that this is my last marriage. Whether it will last or not (translate: whether she continue to put up with living with me or not) I don't know . . . but I am NOT interested in trying again. There are VOLUMES you would have to know about me just to get to Ground Zero. Feh! Bugger it.

THAT'LL mess with ya.
Yeah, marriage is for young people who haven't figured out that "moonlight and roses" turns into "diapers and dishes."

I was sharing one of my (many, largely useless, talking out of my improper oriface) thoughts on marriage with X via IM the other evening.
I think much of the marriage woes we see are due to the level of civilization we live in. You've got a lot of free time to have to deal with each other's crap.
Our great-great-great grandparents were too buys trying to keep the bears from eating them and the food coming in so they could hope that 4 of their 6 kids could survive to adult-hood to have to worry about who did or didn't put away the dishes last week. Likewise I doubt the poor farmer's family in sub-saharan Africa is doing nearly the amount of argueing over who is or isn't emotionally available... they just want the guys with machetes and the wild animals and famine to leave them alone long enough to survive.
Marriage in the first world in the 21st century doesn't have the basic survival benefits it once had... that's not saying it's not worth the effort, just that the effort has different benefits than it has had for the majority of the history of marriage.

We also live longer. That plays a part too, I think. And because we are more and more isolated from society, we don't do the extended family thing, so we don't have all the kids and grand-kids and uncles and aunts and nieces and nephews and god-only-knows who living on the same half-acre . . . ergo, fewer people to run interference.

WooHOO!
I was watching with my BIL and he was saying it was over when they only had 30 seconds left, and I was like, No, this Brady . . . Thirty seconds and 3 time outs left, he still has enough time to make a TD and go out for pizza.
But NO . . . our boys said STOP RIGHT THERE. IMHO, the Giants defense really deserves the MVP, because they are what won that game.

the giants defense has always won championships. that's how i remember it in 87 and in 91.
man, what a game. i was convinced they were going to lose. then they went ahead, and that's when the nerves set in. and I started pacing. then the patriots went ahead, and i was convinced that they were going to lose again. I was still pacing, tho, and during the drive, i was on my hands and knees begging them not to screw up. i was on my knees pleading with Eli when he made that astonishing catch to Tyree. I jumped up and screamed when Plax pulled that ball out of the air. I called my mom (on her side of the family you are a giants fan or nothing) and all I could say is "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." I kept pacing. Like you, Mudge, I was thinking "there's 35 seconds left with three times outs. f#$%! Something could happen!!!!!!"
But no, they did it!!!!!!!!
And I'm still in shock. It hasn't set in yet. lol
I really want to go to the parade tomorrow, but it's Super Tuesday and I work on a under-staffed Web desk. So I'll be at work
I should try to figure out a way to get to the rally at the stadium at 4.
