Hi there, everyone. I'm new, but old. lol I used to be part of the site over a year ago, but left for the summer and didn't come back. We moved and went through a lot of changes, but things have settled down again and I'm back. I'm hard at work on my first book called, "The Ties that Wound" and determined to get it finished by the end of the summer.

My name is Bren and I'm a 36 year old Mom of 4 kids and married to Stacey for 18 years. I, of course, love to read and write. My favorite authors are (just to name a few) Jane Austen, Dean Koontz, Diana Gabaldon and John Williams. How's that for a range? :)

I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and "seeing" some old friends again. :)

Welcome back Bren! Glad you found your way back to Wordtrip. Since you've left we've added a podcast (http://podcast.wordtrip.com) and done a "Novel Writing Week" (http://writingweek.wordtrip.com) and generally been hanging out and doing some writing... looking forward to hearing more about the progress on the book!

Hey charlesp! Wow, sounds great. I'm interested in the podcast, will have to check that out. The book is going great, I'm really happy with it. It's completely changed from what I started with, though. lol I was frustrated with it, it just wasn't what I wanted, then I switched to first person and it came alive. I've got the Prologue and 4 chapters completed (though I have a ton of material waiting to be edited). I finished the first draft last summer, then with all the changes I didn't do anything on it for a while. I started editing a few months ago and now it's really moving. Once Jillstar adds me to the writing group I'll post my prologue. :) I'm looking forward to see what you've all been working on.

Hi, Bren...welcome back. Hope you'll get lots of inspiration here. A little encouragement does wonders when one gets discouraged.

LOL, that's true. It's nice to be back. Pretty quiet around here, though.
