Hiya. My name is Danielle (pen name, really) but you guys can call me Danny or even just AWritersFantasy. I'm nineteen (will be twenty in February!) and am going to be starting up my second semester of my sophomore year at a community college (tomorrow, actually). I love writing. I've been writing since around fourth grade. I started out with Star Wars scripts/stories and fantasy stories, or Star Wars stories with fantasy twists. Then I started writing "real" fan fiction when I found out about fanfiction.net. My sophomore year of high school was when I wrote my first "real" fantasy story. Since then I've written Star Wars fan fiction and original fantasy, though right now I'm focusing on a fantasy novel.
Let's see, what else? I have a livejournal that you can find here. I have a Livejournal community for beta readers (mainly for the fantasy genre) called Creative Fantasy that you can find at http://www.livejournal.com/~CreativeFantasy and Writing Pals at http://www.livejournal.com/~writing_pals which is a community for people who are into writing to come together and talk and make friends and stuff. It's kind of dead right now but I'm trying to get people active by doing a "writing question of the week" every week and we're doing an author/story of the week thing, though no one has submitted anything.
I love to read, write, role play...watch movies. I like making web pages but am not very good at it, though (starting tomorrow, actually) I'm going to be taking a web page design class so I'm hoping I'll get better at it and will eventually be able to have my own domain.
If you want to read the current novel I'm working on, I can give you the link to the Livejournal that I post it in (under friendslock) or can email it to you. I'm not sure if I'm willing to post it on a board, but I might post an excerpt from it.
Sorry about the way the URLs are, they kinda got messed up. -_-
So'm...hi!

Thanks (to both the welcome and the link)
I go to school in Connecticut (can't say the name of it, though if you do the research it's probably not that hard to guess the name of my college. There are only a few community colleges).
My novel is fantasy. It's...about this girl named Azura. It's written like a memoir. Basically...it's -sort of- a coming of age story, but with more of a fantasy twist. o.o
Edit: Woah, I didn't even realize that you're from Connecticut. o.o Cool.

Welcome Danny.
I'm also pretty new (I believe I joined in December). The challenges here I've found to be a great motivator... I was galvanized to write the first draft of an ebook I began 5 years ago!

Hey, Danny--welcome to the boards. I loved your intro, and I spent a little time looking over your life journal. I definitely think you'll enjoy yourself here. Feel free to poke around, join in the threads, or start some of your own. Happy wordtripping.

Ah, a fellow writer from my own neck of the woods (a galaxy far, far away). Star Wars and Fantasy: 2 of my greatest loves. I'll have to check your sites out when I get a chance. Poke around here and have fun!
Welcome!
p.s. what part of the galaxy are you from? I think I'd be from Alderaan (and boy am I pissed about what happened). I've been spending most of my time lately on Rhen Var, Bespin or Jabba's Palace (Battlefront for Xbox Live).

Is this my reality or yours?
Hi, Danny...What can I say that hasn't been said above. Do you write any (fantasy) poetry? We're always on the lookout for new poets to join our weekly challenges.
And Jeffrey Allen, if you look below your avatar, you'll find you joined in Oct.
How time flies, right?

Bah, I didn't get an email saying someone had replied to this. Sorry. x.x
No, I don't write poetry. I only write stories. I hate poetry. I can tolerate reading it but can't write it at ALL. -_-

Welcome, and even if poetry isn't your thing there are hundreds of writing challenges that might prompt a great idea, but at the least should help you hone your skills!

Lol, umm....either Naboo or Tatooine, I guess. The character I created when I got into Star Wars was a Skywalker and was obviously from Tatooine, so I suppose that's why.
Thanks for the welcome. Sorry this is so late. I didn't see this part of the thread. x.x
