Here's your next picture challenge to inspire us to write. Write an opening line, paragraph or even a short story to go along with the picture. Perhaps even begin a new novel! Maybe members would like to use these as future tags... just ask the person who starts it if it's ok to use.

Too bad you're not looking for a title. I'd submit "Riding High".

"Dude, check out that bus!"
"Yeah, wouldn't that be cool way to get to school."
"I wish our school had anythng that cool."

"It's not all that great."
"What do you mean? It's got to be rad!"
"It takes a stool just to get in, and it's jerking around all the time. It's a pain."

All eyes are on the skinny kid with the cool bus.
"Think you could get them to send it to us?

Read it with a rap rhythm.

The Monster Bus

Gath'rin' kids with books and new backpacks
keepin' 'em safe from random attacks,
the Monster Bus be the Mother Hen
protectin' our babes from the bogeyman.

Droppin' young ones off at the Fortress School,
to learn readin' and writin' and the number one rule:
Take care of yourself, brothers and sisters, too.
The good you do will come back to you.

Be safe. Uh-huh, be safe. Be safe.

Chuggin' down the street with the City's Pride
all belted and buckled, safe inside,
those giant tires lift you 'bove the ground,
at the end of the day, ya'll are homeward bound.

At least for a time, they're above the fray,
But the fight starts again the very next day.
Drugs and defeat and homelessness
are held for a time by the Monster Bus.

Be safe. Uh-huh, be safe. Be safe.

wow mae! I love it! the only thing I didn't really get was your single repeated line- what are you trying to say with that?

Sometimes I wish I had a security blanket like that. I guess I have hugs- like your bus they make the hurt a little less for a while. :)

I wasn't trying to say anything other than the admonition to "be safe". It was supposed to be a chorus for lyrics - but I'm not very good with lyrics.

I liked it mae. I could see it as a PSA.
Is this my reality or yours?

I want to see it pop a wheelie

PSA "Public Service Announcement" (Like free ads for United Way or something)

Could also meant they couldnt' sell all their ads and had to put in some anti-smoking commercial or something.

So could also stand for "Pisspoor Service to Advertisers"

It does have a catchy rhythm to it, doesn't it?
