PP - Car on a Wire

The Picture Perfect Writing portion of Wordtrip is used to inspire writing through the "VISUAL" of life. Look at the current picture and write an opening line, paragraph, poem, or short story. Perhaps even begin a new novel!

PP - Car on a Wire

Picture Perfect Mondays have been on "summer vacation".

Although they are not being brought back full-time, I thought I would toss a new picture into the mix.

Here's your next picture challenge to inspire us to write. Write an opening line, paragraph or even a short story to go along with the picture. Perhaps even begin a new novel! Maybe members would like to use these as future tags... just ask the person who starts it if it's ok to use.

Maybe I can do better than this. But here's a start at least. :-D

The white car dangling precariously from the electric wires didn't make a pretty sight.
"I think they should put up 'no parking' a sign or something." A woman breathed as she walked by.
It was quite funny, the way the car hung there, like some wrenched white towel hanging out to dry. The sky wore a merry blue that day, as if silently mocking the deed. Even the sun smiled on coyly. It seemed that together the sun and the sky were making one liners saying ‘things these humans will do for attention.’
Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.

Hanging like improbable white fruit
from the electric "tree", the car
presented its conundrum to
astonished passers-by.
"How? Why did I come here?
To show that the impossible can happen."
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

I think we're in a pickle here, Dick... lol.

Now how do you suppose...? Well, anyway, here's what this picture brought to MY mind:

My name's not Luke
and you aren't Daisy
and our car's not orange but white.

But all the same,
we were yelling "YA-HOO!"
after a few too many Bud Lites.

I didn't know
this car could fly.
I had no idea at all. Did you?

I'd not planned this.
We've a real dilemma.
My brain's screaming "What do I do?"

We'll be arrested,
of that I'm quite certain.
And spend the rest of our lives in jail.

We can't get out,
before the police show up.
Maybe the bartender will post bail!

The way the world works today, these two will sue the bartender who served them the drinks....and probably win! All the judges seem to be idiots these days. The thing is, nobody is responsible for their own actions any more. It's always somebody else's fault.
Cute job, mae!

And then they'll sue the makers of The Dukes of Hazzard for giving them the idea in the first place! Oh, I should have added another pair of verses! mae

Quite funny, mae. And barring a natural disaster, quite likely as well.

Since the wires are still up, as well as the poles and the fence remains standing with nothing blown up against it -- it doesn't look like a natural disaster. I suppose it could have been a fraternity-full of college students - just as drunk, mind you - pulling a prank. But I'm still thinking a Dukes of Hazzard wannabe. mae
