Naw.

And Mlou, isn't ALL poetry based in real life?

I didn't mean to crush your mouth
So sweetly and ferociously against mine
That your lips are bruised and your tongue is swollen
And your face is practically raw from the stubble on my chin
But I like
The flat spot right at the small of your back
That makes it so easy
To pull you closer.

And

I didn't mean to make you late for dinner
When I tugged your jeans down over your hips
Leaving us both sweaty and disheveled
And omygod we're supposed to be there now!
But I like
That tender hollow at the front of your hip
That makes it so easy
To want to explore further.

And

I didn't mean to rip open our hearts
When I tried to pull you out of your shell
When I tried to get behind your eyes
Which somehow got you through my walls
But I like
you.
Which is not making this
Any easier at all.

woah as in good woah. That's such a great poem. Lots of feeling, great images. You can just feel what you're writing. The emotions and everything.

You know, Mudge, whenever I read your stuff I feel like a crappy writer

Well, thanks. But do the math:

Dan Brown: Crappy writer. Multibazillionaire

Mudge: Moderately decent writer. Flat bloody broke.

"moderately decent writer"??
Come on, give yourself some credit. You're a fantastic writer. While I say stuff about you making me feel like a crappy writer, in actuality your writing INSPIRES me to write and do better with it. I'm sure others feel the same way.

Don't forget the other part of the equation

Dan Brown: Lucky SOB. Multibazillionaire

CharlesP: Unlucky SOB. Flat bloody broke
