Summer's coming fast (crit wanted)

Postby devonwelsh » Sun May 29, 2005 9:25 am

summer’s approaching
faster than the spring rain
pours down on my hanging
head.

Staring into the sky, into
the heavenly light that
guides me home every time.
Running in circles,
trying to make sense of
my freedoms and
responsibilities.

Life’s catching up to me
too fast, I thought
I had the lead, but now
we’re tied.
I never expected
this as the young boy running
in the corn fields that make up
the scenery in this landscape.
