Way to go, both of you. Very vivid descriptions here. I'll keep patting your shoulders until I get the motivation to join in. :-D

These tawny mountains
stretch out like sleeping lions
majestic and still
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

Cobwebs and haunted
dreams...nightmares lurking in the
attic of the mind.
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

imagined landscapes
tower higher than any
of stone and earth do

Truly mastering
the zen of relaxation
the tiger dozes
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

A rough day on the
savanah chasing prey makes
one tired tiger

Almost as bad as rush-hour on the subway!

Beneath striped sky
silhouetted houses are
clustered against night
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

Striated clouds float
over the canyon strata:
above as below.

Even the clouds come
at the beckoning of the
setting evening sun
Is this my reality or yours?

Against the sunset
trees silhouette, then disolve
into the darkness.

The water still flows
at the old mill pond, though it
appears time does not.

a country life is
as still and peaceful as a
babbling river
Is this my reality or yours?

A lush island floats
above and below a pond
mirroring the sky

Big sky cloud canyons
and the vast prairie flatlands
are linked by rainbows

Curious squirrel,
he watches me watching him;
standoff in the park

Gray squirrel and I
sharing a cool forest glade
seeing eye to eye
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

Cheetahs lounge looking
more elegant than any
runway model could.

Like hope returning
the golden star of the sun
announces morning
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

Slowly sinking sun
stretches out to touch the earth
the day’s last message.

Interesting, you thought sunrise, I thought sunset. Probably because the picture is over water and I am closest to a body of water to the west, so, the sun sets over it.

Exactly. I'm near the Atlantic ocean where the sun rises. Actually, the color DID look more like sunset but I like idea of beginnings better than endings. :-D

The Savannah’s King
wears a crown made of the rays
of the rising sun.

The caterpillar
said to the fly, wait until
I get my wings. Tag!
