Nice guys and YES, they are repeats. I'm giving up on them. I know they could inspire different poems, with a little thought, but if you've done them once, the thrill is gone! lol

Don't think I saw this one.

To skim the white slopes
above the clouds, is to find
momentary wings.

Are we still doing traditional Japanesse rules, or have we loosened up to Keroac style?
Dont "should" on yourself,
Dont "Should" on others,
And NEVER let anyone,
Should on you!

Do any style you like, Kex! We go with the traditional only on those particular posted pictures that require the strict 5-7-5.

Today's pic:

High on the clifftop
like a new sunrise dawning
lighthouse sweeps the dusk.

Nibble the flower
of life...savor the sweetness
for it is soon gone.

In frozen, quiet
crystal cave, winter slumber's
peace for nature's rest
Is this my reality or yours?

My daughter and I did this one together.

the misty world of magic
hiding her secrets.

In the caves of ice
I endure, waiting only
the touch of spring.

I wept for all that is past
and cannot return.

proof that the Lord remembers
his promise to men.

Rain Turnout

Searching vainly they
must escape the drowning rain
the sidewalks are pink

Sky-colors floating
water mirrors real. What is
real, what illusion?

MIRROR SUNSET

Earth seeks heaven's glow
yet cannot hold its beauty
but for a moment.

earth sliding away below...
Oh, to lie on air!

Silent sentinels
through winter's bitter weather
green pines promise spring

The violet wears
a fragile living jewel,
bright wings of beauty.

Water holding sky
blue and silver reflections
one serene white swan
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

Hey Mlou... have you ever thought of putting the links to the PIM and other places you get your poetry ideas from into you signature line?

Jill...you KNOW I'm a dunce about doing things. When you move to New England you can give me lessons. I sure could use some. There are far more (frustrating) things I don't know how to do, than things I can do.
So, no, I haven't thought about it. :D (And I don't know that I'd actually want to be prominently linked to "that" place, scam city.)
