What purpose to fear
a remembered desire
the known is not the end
alone and confused inside.

Hey, good ones, Bess...but as a sometime painter, gotta remind you...you don't carve canvas. :-D You paint it...or in my case, at least daub at it.
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

About as well as one can carve it.

I should know by now not to have a battle of wits with you...

I cede this round to you, however, the game is no over lassie.

Mlou, I know I used more than 20 words, but I couldn't cut the pim any more than I have already. So, I apologize in advance...

Gazing into our indigo past
searching the trembling embrace
of time
hope fluttered against the
vast array
as I looked upon
love sublime.

I don't think Mlou will mind. She just might make you try another one and stay within in the limit. :) Nice poem. Subtle and good imagery.

Nice one, Bess. You're getting back into the swing.
So let them sue you! :D Besides I just ate a beautiful dinner, so I'm in an expansive mood. mmmmm chicken breasts stuffed with brie, cranberries and apples, plus baked potatoes, veggies and raspberry turnovers hot out of the oven.

Yes, I will Bess, but only if you take over the cooking...or something. I cook (Thank God for Barber stuffed chicken breasts); Jim does the dishes. And I'm not big on housekeeping either. Had an article published in the Boston Herald once, about my housekeeping...I belong to S.L.O.B.S. Inc. (Suburban League Of Better Slumkeepers :-D ) How to keep a presentable home with minimum effort. The facade is all!

I think I need to join S.L.O.B.S., Mlou. I've been at my mothers all week helping with dad. No internet over there. I'll try to get another pim in tonight. :coffee1:

Feeling the dark longing
of the fallen light
I looked beyond its sparkling emptiness
to see forever glistening
through the clouds.

I was looking back over the Dragonstone tag and at one point you said you might jump in but never did...care to try your hand? :poke:

Wow, now that's going back a bit, isn't it? I'll give it a look but I'm on my way to bed, so I'll check it tomorrow.

Wow, is that how it is? I always think of them bathed in such light you can barely see them through it, and rather stern and dignified and awesome. Good job!

You are right, of course, but that's how the words fell from my very small mind. :D
