Funny, because most of it I liked too, yet it was "the front" that didn't sit quite right. Not sure why, except perhaps because he was "like" a wind/breeze but the front was quite literal. "you changed" sounds more natural (to me).
Also the rest of the poem is sort of in the past...you blew...feet never touched...I twisted, turned...didn't see. (Not I twist, I don't see...) Then suddenly, it's "I need...I am" present tense.
nothing is ever simply Yes or No. There's always a But...

I went to a new writers group today, and I really liked it! It reminds me, in a way, of what Pencils back in Connecticut was like at the very beginning.

Soooo. . .I lost my adjunct teaching job. :(

I was the victim of budget cuts. I was one of three adjuncts who lost their jobs and a non-tenure track associate lost his job too. And I didn't find out that things were definite until the last night of class (just the final remains). So now I have to scramble. And I'm pretty screwed for the fall.

And this is not just a "I really want to teach" issue. This is a "I need the money" issue too.

yowza X! I thought I read on twitter that OTHERS had lost their job, not YOU... not that it wouldn't suck for others, but I don't know them so you know, they're not real. Best of luck in the scrambling.

Well, the first is worthy. The second isn't so much as it's my job to write stuff like that. I just don't get the chance to write long like I used to.

I hate when I actually feel inspired, start to write and then it all just goes away. *sigh*

Don't know yet. The reporter had follow-up questions yesterday. But soon, I assume.

Went back and read some of your blog... I'm a bit confused. You left the one job that you didn't like, but you have a new job now, right? You're writing a novel, right? What's it about?

I have a "new job." I've had it for a year.

And I haven't been working on the novel because I've been too busy so I wouldn't say I'm "writing a novel" right now.

It doesn't look staged at ALL... you should've had on a fedora with a "Press" card in it.

So I took out and brushed off and have been working on the angel of death book again. I'm really hoping to get it done.

But the problem is I am so stressed and burned out from my job (which the writing can be just as much fun and fulfilling) that I'm just tired. Hard to balance it all sometimes.
