I'm more frightened about the writers who create them. Worse, I'm afraid they ride Harleys and drink Old Grandad.

I think I would know the type that would create them, and I think you're right to be frightened.

I'd rather not travel all that far and live in this apartment. haha

I keep telling myself that I need to write something based on where I live. There are all sorts of crazy things that go on in this neighborhood:

1. There's the crazy dog people next door. And how all the dogs in the neighborhood don't get along and bark and bark and bark.

2. There's the crazy homeless lady. Who is Polish. And screams at people in polish. And is always dressed well, right down to accessories.

3. There's the guy who comes and feeds the cats in the vacant lot across the street. And he has to point out to everyone that he comes to feed the cats. Like we haven't figured that out.

4. There's the goose lady who comes and feeds the geese along the Passaic River. When the geese wandered into the neighborhood last spring, she'd follow them here and feed them here. She's like the cat guy, and one of my friends said we should try to hook the two of them up.

5. There's the cleanout service that is based across the street that is a horrible neighbor.

I really hate when inspiration hits hardcore and there's no paper or anything around. And now that I'm at the computer, I've lost it. I need to get it back.

It usually happens in the shower... and writing it on the wall with soap just doesn't seem to work well. :-P

I was riding the subway back from Shea. I never carry a bag to Shea because the line for bag check is always always long. So I had no paper or pen. And this was between 10 and 11. I didn't walk in the door of my apartment until a little after midnight. So yeah, that sucked. lol

My solution is to always carry a small pen, and a Moleskine Cahair notebook... it's small and thin enough to slip in a back pocket.

you know, when i got to Penn station and had to wait for the train to Secaucus, I looked around in Hudson News for a pen and something to write on. They had tons of pens. No notebooks or anything to write on. I should have gotten a crossword puzzle or something to write on.

This whole not having a job thing is really shaking my confidence. I feel like I'm being strung along by some places. I feel like others aren't acknowledging how awesome I am. But in the end, it's making me feel like I'm not good enough for anyone.

I went to an employment agency last week, actually. I mean, I've been out of work for two months now. *sigh*

So I went, they sent me on an interview for a web producer job. I spoke with two people. The agency people told me one person wants to hire me. The other wasn't so thrilled. So they wanted to see more. They were supposed to see someone today. I was told I'd hear more this afternoon.

I've heard nothing. So that makes me believe I didn't get this job. Not that it's a job I particularly want although it would be OK. Good company and all. Seem like nice people. Work is work I'm good at. But it's not quite what I want.

I really want this other job that I thought (and was told) I was a lock for. But that's just screwed up too. I may know this week what's going on there. But my confidence was shaken with that job too.

*sigh* I really don't want to move back to CT.

new poem off the top of my head:

The Flower

This flower is wilting.
The petals are falling,
The leaves are dry, brittle.
The soil is cracked.
I use my tears,
Trying to feed it,
Trying to make it better.
But they’re wasted.

It needs sunshine.
But the clouds hang low.
Darkness is everywhere.
How do I sweep it away,
Feeding the plant,
Giving it the warmth it needs?

It needs divine intervention,
Hope, caring, peace.
Where will it come?
When will it come?
I spend time on my knees,
But is it really helping?

I hate limbo periods my dear....the work thing will straighten out in the end, but it's the time in between that puts the hard lump in stomach. The sad thing is that it impacts everything else in your life....once your confidence is shaken in this area, it seeps into others. But, keep telling yourself it's temporary. You know what you are good at. "WE" see what you are good at (at least a part of it) and it will work out.....

Until then keep writing and keep wordtripping.....we love ya 8)

Good luck and knock 'em dead. Beats living out of a car parked at WalMart--but I know things never got that bad. These are just rough times.
