That's so great, X!
But 4:30!!!! Oh, well, you're young and full of vinegar. You'll do it. And much success to you on the new job. You didn't say what you'd be doing, exactly. Beyond writing, of course. :)

OK, I have to be out the door at 4:30 to be on the bus at 4:55 a.m. I misread the schedule.

Is it bad that three weeks into this job I'm not happy? And feel like I made a mistake?

Yeah, well, I kept saying that with my last job and it only got worse.
I just don't think this is a good match for me.

I can't say a whole lot publicly, but I have a phone interview tomorrow. It's with a job that I really want. It's for a company I've always wanted to work. So think happy thoughts. Cross your fingers. I need all sorts of good karma.

Fingers crossing... out of curiosity at what point will it be... sad... to have your blog titled "award winning journalist!" ?

Good luck in the new venture when/if it comes to pass. Going to the Big Apple? Gotham? City of Broken Dreams? Hold onto your wallet and re-read your Pete Hamill.

So since I have no job right now and hunt for one, I decided I need to really re-energize my writing. So I'm going to try to commit to writing like it's my job now. Work on my novel. A new story I'm working on. And I'm going to try to do a little community blogging too. I have to do something right?

I really should be writing but I can't find the motivation to write. I have things bouncing around in my head, but nothing is on the page. ARGH!

This job hunting thing is really irritating.

I was told by one person today that they would love to hire someone like me but couldn't afford me. The funny thing is that I was earning at the lower end of the scale of someone with my type of experience.

Then I applied for another job and turns out the person who responded is a fan. But then he was talking me out of going for their job. Um, why?

Don't knock the genre. Somebody's buying that...stuff. Vampire lesbian aliens are hot items, so saith my editor.
