A New Chapter

Postby funkywriter3 » Sat Jun 26, 2004 10:13 am

Hey,
I need help on something! I had the most bizarre but fasinating dream last night. I remember most parts of it cause well it's hard to explain. Anyway here's what the story's called The House on 4th Street and it's about a girl who visits her grandparents and their remodling their home, but the inside reveals more than the outside can ever show. So how does it sound? Good enough to be a book? Would you be interested learning more? Please respond I can use all the help I can get!

Well, you haven't given us much of a plot yet. Is it to be horror or fantasy or history or what? History could go into finding documents in the walls.
Horror could go into finding secret room/rooms.
Fantasy could go into a gateway to another world built into the house somewhere. So?

well,
It's complete fantasy with some fun accents. I don't really know how much farther I could take it, it all depends where my brain and train of thought takes me.

I think your best bet is to just start writing and see where you go. It sounds like an interesting premise . . . but a premise is just a premise until you get it on paper!

Yeah, but it's so much easier just to sit and daydream about it The promise of a premise...minus the work. Better get to work, Funky!

Hey,
Trust me it's not just a premise, I have already come up with my characters, plot, and more things added in for effect. Chapter 1 is an introduction. This story I know is going to be a keeper. I don't know if you've read Summerland, but my story will definitely have similarities, like the length for example, it's going to be awsome.

I think you should go for it. If you already have characters and a plot, then you're on your way to writing the book. Good luck! :D

I'd say, if you're already on Chapter 5, get on with the story. You can add detail as you go.

Definitely, go with the story while it's playing in your mind. You can refine it later.
