Happy to report that I made the special two-page spread in Christian Science Monitor, Poets on Poetry in April.
Also heard from a Chcken Soup for the Soul editor that a couple of poems I sent...so long ago I'd completely forgotten them... are in the final running for the next anthology, Chicken Soup for the Shopper's Soul.

Blick, I thought you always had a hidden blade in your shoe. Use it, escape master. And what were you doing on the bus anyway?

Great news! Sounds you can quit your day job and write full time sequestered in a old converted tool shed, pecking away at an old Remington typewriter, and not coming out for days at a time . . . oh the life of a full time writer. :-D

Nah, I have it even better than that. I don't HAVE a day job. So I can sit in comfort in a nice heated book-lined room. And I threw out the Remington a long time ago.

The roll goes on. :-D An essay and poem in this month's Vermont paper and an essay and poem upcoming in next month's. That's good news but I'm especially pleased about the CSMonitor.

Finally, got back to work and sold another essay to the CSMonitor. And had a poem and an article in the Vermont paper this month. Finished 2 of the writing categories for the Grange annual contest; 2 more to go. Also have a watercolor, a pencil drawing and a pastel finished for the art portions of their contests.

Thanks, guys.
Actually, Mudge, I do have some of the paintings in my computer files (even though my Lexmark didn't record the colors truly), but I'd have no idea how to get them to where they could be seen here.
