Well, today is a blissful day for me. I passed my fitness test because they allowed me to do the walk test for the cardio portion instead of the bike/run tests. I actually walked a mile in 13:53 (yes walked it - I wasn't allowed to jog/run any part) which gave me a fitness score of 85%...

I met her though the forums at wheresgeorge.com (turns out she lives in Denver...

We met a little over a week ago and are totally smitten with each other. The other night we went and saw Sweeney Todd together. (Lots of singing for a slasher film! ;) )

If you give her flowers don't give her roses; that's so cliche. Give her daisies or tulips; something bright and cheerful and maybe a little playful. All you have to do is make her smile. There's no thought behind roses but other flowers (find out what exactly right) shows you've been thinking about her. Girls always like that.

I'm sure you'll think of something... often doing something that seems insignificant can be the best but since we don't know her or her expectations, it makes it a little hard. I would go with the flowers and/or a card that isn't too over the top... you haven't known each other THAT long yet. :)

I agree, some cutesie flowers. I highly recommend gerba daisies. They're so sweet and fun. Find something fun to do. Ice skating, bowling. Something where you're going to laugh and relax and have fun. Dinner, dancing, that's all over-rated. What does she like to do for fun? Any favorite directors? Actors? Actresses? Do a movie night. :)

I'm fairly sure flowers would be wrong with her from hints she's dropped. I already have the card that is perfect. But I also have to work (as usual) that night, so we won't be together. :(

Oh, and we've already had two movie nights...

Sweeney Todd is an excellent movie btw!

Eh, there were plenty of Valentine's nights I've had to work when I had a serious boyfriend. We'd just do our thing some other time.

The year the boy and I were actually together, he went to canada with his brother valentine's day weekend. it didn't bother me because neither of us made a big deal out of Valentine's Day.

it also helped i got really sick that weekend (it was also the weekend i found wordtrip).

the point is valentine's day is what you make of it. it doesn't have to be about flowers and candy and cards and dinner or whatever else.

Brownies.

Invite her over or go to her place with a box of brownie mix. Spend the time mixing and cooking them. It's not the typical "diner and a movie" or "bowling" but you're still doing something and get to talk to each other and who doesn't love brownies?

I got this idea a couple of days ago, but I've been scatterbrained for awhile.

I sent her a card which had poems I wrote and a flower arrangement. We went to the park and played with her kids for the afternoon, then had a private date later.
