Well, I know the praise I have received from homeless, bed-ridden, etc has meant way more to me than that of "hey good story". I've even gotten (a year after the fact) a "thanks" for feeding me from a homeless person who remembered my efforts.

Anblick, I agree. The time I spend volunteering with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society means more to me than any prize I could ever win. The thanks from the patients and their families is all I need. I love it.

Yeah, I find that my biggest enjoyments in life are from people who have benefited from my helping them.

It reminds me of what my mom used to tell my at Christmas...it is better to give than to receive.

I agree with you both. But take for example the situation tonight with me. I have generalized panic attacks (opps will charles come punish someone agai ) I know what its like to be alone or to think that you are. So you chase after something that seems like its gonna make u feel fuller or safer or better . I tried it for yrs. Hell I tried it here to but disagreeing with Charles ended that for me here I cant be anyone but the peron in the chair

I don't see the reason to attack Charles again for no reason, as I've made it clear on how I think of that in our relationship...

Sorry about the latest caper with your military "friends", blick! Don't know why, but there are those who feel it's their mission in life to put down folks they don't like and just generally botch up things for them wherever possible. So many reasons...jealousy, resentment, just plain orneriness, hangover, bad stomach or just joy at turning the knife!

A couple of things:

1) Rhett is the best pet I've ever had. He's the most loveable pet ever. And he's a MALE CAT!

2) Monday Night Football is only palatable this year if you mute Theisman's and Kornheiser's mikes. This is the suckiest year of MNF ever!

OMG...I was just thinking the same thing...sort of. I have muted my television so I don't have to listen to the commentary.

Torico is good, but not good enough to overcome T & K's black hole of crap! I'll prolly not watch MNF this year...

Totally agree. I'm just happy that Fox has another good team this year.

Yeah, my husband does a lot of grousing about the commentators on the sports channels. Booooring! They're in love with their own brilliance!
Glad you have Rhett, blick! I just suffered a bad blow with the loss of my little cat, Sweetie, my constant companion day and night. Went missing and I called and cried all weekend. Then discovered she was found dead and the neighbors buried her not knowing she was mine. Evidently hit by a car. Sure do miss her.

Oh, Mlou, I'm so sorry. I lost my cat in January. Luckily, I have found another one who is wonderful in her own special way. She is a great cat, but I do know how the loss of a valued companion feels. It sucks.

I was scared to death when both Scarlett and Rhett "escaped" accidentally and I found them waiting to get back in the next morning when I got back home from work after a mid shift. Scared me to death...

Thanks, bf. We do have others that we took in as strays and they have a room downstairs together. But sweetie was always with me upstairs...slept with us, told me when to go to bed, when to get up, when it was eats time. And, as with animals who are companions, knew every word I said...even if she didn't agree:-D

You Are 60% Psychic

Image

You are pretty psychic.
While you aren't Miss Cleo, you've got a little ESP going on.
And although you're sometimes off on your predictions...
You're more often right than wrong
So go with your instincts - you know more than you think

Are You Psychic?

Apparently I'm 30% psychic.

Although in real life I'm not psychic at all.
Me fail English? That's unpossible!
