Writing Science Fiction

"Writing Science Fiction with Gotham Writers' Workshop" begins on August 1st at the Barnes & Noble University website. These courses are FREE - all you need to do is sign up. Of course, there are usually required textbooks and of course B&N would like you to buy them through their website but it's not a requirement.

Other courses this semester:

- Film Noir: Danger, Darkness and Dames
- Alfred Hitchcock: Genius At Work
- How To Think Like Leonardo Da Vinci

Free is alsways a good thing. I might look into doing this one as well.....epecially since our Short Story Challenge today is to write a Science Fiction piece. :D (how's that for a plug for your challenge Anblick?)

Well, I'm tempted, but considering that the text books cost about $40 together and I'm working my butt off to try and save up some money I don't think it's a good time. :?

well... do what I do... sign up and milk the class info for what it's worth WITHOUT the textbooks :twisted:.

Heh. I ended up with a nifty compromise. I bought the cheaper of the two textbooks, and the local library had a copy of the other, so I checked it out. :-D
