Writers Dupe Vanity Press.

Postby charlesp » Mon Feb 07, 2005 3:17 pm

You should all get a kick out of this. A vanity press claiming to be a "traditional" publisher got duped by a bunch of Fantasy and Sci-Fi writers who didn't take kindly to some remarks made about their genres by the company. The authors all worked to put together a horrible story, and then submitted it to Publish America to see how high their quality bar was... not too high apparently.

I read a section from the novel. It was HILARIOUS in its absurdity.

You know, it was also inspiring. If they can get published with something so blatantly terrible, then I stand a chance. :-D

Hehe, yeah, I tried reading some of the novel, and it was so bad it was hilarious.
