I'm not a gr8 writer, though i would love to be :-D .
Usually i write for my friends. I love to see the smile appearing on their face reading what i have written for them.

Now you know Mlou, you have just challenged me to find the link to the photos....grin...

Welcome to the playground, Richard Dear.

I am always happy to have a new playmate. So tell us, what is your genre of choice or do you dabble in a bit of everything?

Evil grin..Richard, you will learn that I can't resist a challenge 8)

You know I had to pull these up...here are some of the WT gatherings....

The Seattle Get-2-gether:

http://wordtrip.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.ph ... sc&start=0

The 1st WT get-2-gether in Atlanta:

http://wordtrip.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2605

WT in New England:

Ok CP, what happened to the photos on this one? They have disappeared..

If you would like to wander through more get-2-gethers…go to All Forums and select Wordtrip Conference and Gatherings…..

But remember these were a few years back....hey we should do another one...when any of us ever gets $$$ again...are they still predicting the next Depression (I've stopped watching the news ~shudders~)

Richard, (evil grin) I'm not scary...I'm just written that way..no, wait I am scary.

Genres? there a many romance, horror, scifi, mystery.....

sounds like you write mostly poetry.

may I make a request?

Go through you writings and find something that you think is pretty good.

Post it, yes in your own language.

You can give us a translation too, if you can.

Why?

Sometimes (especially in poetry) it is much better in our native tongue.

There was a poem, (sorry for butchering Japanese) called Sukiaki. Translated into English it was nice, but to be read/heard in Japanese it was so much better.

Knowing that you write w/ English as a second language, any crit requested from this point on will bare this in mind.

As for the get-2-gethers, mostly they are by region and in the US. By that I mean if you were in the Northeast and close to New England, then you made that one, same w/ Seattle. But, anyone going to be in the area was welcome (I almost made the Seattle gathering until my travel plans changed).

Atlanta was the only one that drew us from across the country.

We haven't had an international gathering as yet, but boy that would be interesting!
We had a couple of members from your way a while back, but since they left for school/travel they haven't been on. Of course they are welcomed back when they do..as my friend Craig would say: They are on a "walk-a-bout" and will contact us when the reconnect w/ the modern world.

Don't be scared, Richard. Hiss is a personal friend and isn't nearly as scary as she'd have you believe. Well, maybe a LITTLE scary. She goes a bit whacky at Halloween. lol
