Welcome to Wordtrip!

Personally I'm an amateur writer and a professional procrastinator. Those two don't always mix.
Is this my reality or yours?

Greetings. I'm an amateur writing and a professional daydreamer, so I guess that counts for something anyway. :D Glad to have you aboard!

Hi, Lin! I consider a professional writer one who does it full time and earns a very comfortable living from it. I'm a semi-pro, being published regularly for (at least) 30 years but I would hate to depend upon it for all my needs/wants. :-D Welcome

Does a slightly uncomforable living count? :-P

When people ask me how I get by living in Mexico, I say, "I'm a writer. I can starve equally well anywhere."

Hi Lin--welcome to the boards.

I always heard that the difference between a professional writer and an amateur writer was that an amateur writer also had a full-time job to pay the bills ... while a professional has a SPOUSE who has a full-time job to pay the bills ...

Thank you. I'm here until Thursday. Try the veal.
