Starting to write...again
Posted: Sat Feb 11, 2006 8:12 pm
Wrote years and years ago. Following my Mom from room to room with the latest poem or chapter I'd written-- my captive audience--no room safe from hearing of the latest word I'd written.
Funny, though she claimed to hate having to listen to my latest, she wonders why I no longer write and urges me to begin again.
I'd like to...so when I saw this website, I thought...maybe...
I'll start wrting again.

Keep writing, I've had the same problem in My home, the lack of support can really hurt, and writing alone can be miserable.
But I've really enjoyed Wordtrip, and the people here are all really fun and supportive
Hope to see ya around the forums, and please keep writing

Poems? Did you say poems? Go-go-go, to the weekly Tuesday Poetry Challenge. And start writing. All past poetry challenges still open for new posts. If you want crit, say so. Otherwise...usually...we manage to refrain.
And welcome. You'll gain as much here as what you put into it, and maybe more.

Thanks -- ALL! You've definitely provided motivation and support!
I've spent the last 4-5 hours alternating between our desktop and laptop trying to get both connected to internet before admitting defeat and calling the technical support hotline. Finally both computers are connecting to the internet at the same time!
Hope to spend some time writing soon...

Welcome!!! The support and motivation here are great. (Friends and family often don't understand the needs of the writer) See you around the boards.

Yes, Welcome! So... what are your writing goals? Change "Hope" to "Plan" for your writing time, and you'll have pages before you know it. I finally had to put my daily schedule down in black in white before I was able to carve out some time in the week for my writing. Best of luck to you - we're all here rootin' for you!

Welcome to Wordtrip.
I plagued my family with my writing as a kid too. And yet they never told me to stop. Amazing.
