Yikes! I haven't rambled in a month and a half. That's not like me at all! Well this fall has been insane with (bad) football, and I have to admit that my crocheting adventure has taken me into new territory and I have strayed a bit from the writing path. Hopefully once I get Christmas things finish...

Well I think I was inspired by the book I just read, plus, the whole list kind of spoke to me. And I watched the History Channel's three part series about the Gestapo, so I'm in that frame of mind I guess.

Sorry it's so depressing, but it just came to mind.

How's this for resurrecting an old thread on a depressing note. Based on challenge 2........ Hanukkah, 1939 last year, a millenium ago, she rose to greet the morning, an ancient melody on her lips; she removed the silver menorah from the shelf and polished it for the coming celebration, her hand's g...

LOL Paul, no today is bright and sunny, about 70 degrees - a beautiful day. But the days I hate are fast approaching - I'm a Leo and (according to my hairdresser, who's into astrology) I hate winter because I'm a fire sign and need warmth and sunlight. Give me summer all year. So that's what inspire...

Here's one for number three, and I'll be back with another one later.

Seasons Change

snowflakes shimmy through
crystallized clouds, dancing their
way to a snow-silenced earth.

cloaked in winter-glass,
lacy trees bow their heads and
weep for summer's passing.

Thanks, we're definitly going to need it. There's a lot to be said for not being as involved in football as I am. Then again, it's pretty exciting (nerve wracking) too. There's nothing like the feel of a great win, but when you lose it's heartwrenching. I seriously almost cried after the game. Part ...

Yeesh it's been over a month since I last wrote, but then again, the fall has been crazy busy with football and stuff so I guess writing here is the last thing on my mind. Where to begin? Football season started on the 30th with a 28-16 win against Albany - a night game with our new stadium lights. ...

Yeah, I get the point of the two "silly"s - I'm just a woman of few words when it comes to poetry, so I tend not to repeat myself. That's just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. :D :D I'm hardly even remotely close to being an expert in these matters.

I don't think you need both "silly"-s in the verse about water polo, but other than that, the only thing I'd do is put line three in verse five at the end of the verse. I like the topic and the writing style. I've been wondering many of the same things myself these past two weeks. Anything you can p...

PG - Who says you have to play an instrument to write songs? Someone else could always compose the music and you could be the lyricist.

This is cute. Anyone who can use the word "punctilious" in a poem gets my vote.

So life here in the boonies is rather quiet. Football camp starts on Tuesday (my 34th birthday, btw;) so we're just trying to enjoy our last couple of days of freedom. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my "alone" time when Bill's working late, but I do miss him terribly when he's not around. Poor thing ha...

Well I was thinking more along the lines of an alcoholic, you know how they say that it's about more than getting drunk, it's about the feel of the glass in your hand and the sound of the ice cubes, etc. But hey, caffiene addiction works too! I think it could be about Dunkin' Donuts iced caramel swi...
