Re: My New Blog

Awesome Liz... seems many of us went 'somewhere' when things changed. I have one myself... actually I started one... and then another... and then another... and none of them really quite satisfied me. I suppose it's because I found that a lot of people who read other people's blogs really only comme...

Re: FFF - Kill the king, the king is dead, long live the king

It's due to the fact so many people want to make the bad guy into something he's not... good. There's always a back story or a reason for them to be bad and somehow that makes it 'not their fault'.

All in all though... people want the good guys to win!

Re: Using Algorithms to Check Your Writing

Thank you for providing this, Timber!

I've used a site where you input a paragraph from your story and it tries to guess if you're a man or woman. More often than not it would guess male for me.

Re: FFF - Kill the king, the king is dead, long live the king

Very intense and really pulled me in. Definitely not a child's bedtime story. Can you show a bit more as to why the main character (I didn't see his name?) is so willing to frame Jamal. It seems that they are friends but then he writes him off as if he's as bad as his brother. At first I thou...

Re: DUCKS ON PARADE

I'll have to give this another read. I'm having a hard time getting into the story and I think it's because I thought it was going to be funny but then it turned into something else. A couple of the characters are annoying but I think that's on purpose. It's the character names and situation that ma...

Re: Anblick's Anamorphosis

Was the short story count done on purpose... 13 stories for a book called Dark Stories for A Restless Night sounds a bit on the horror side... or perhaps spooky or just suspense in general.

Re: Word Count

Here's an article I found online while searching for Flash Fiction. This gives you some ideas on how to write Flash Fiction. Here's a brief of the article: 1. Start in the middle - You don't have time in this very short form to set scenes and build character. 2. Don't use too many characters - You w...
