Wow, I read this a long time ago, but your review makes me want to pick it back up. I remember it being a great read, though his description of getting a shot in his ear still makes me cringe. I'll definitely pour through my library tomorrow to find it.

Just caught this, which I think you pointed out:

It claims my life, I its definition

I claim its definition -- the parallel structure is too complicated and it got lost.

Thanks again!

Wow! Either you wrote this very, very quickly and it just flew away with you or it took you a tremendously long time. It was a fascinating read, delicious to hear. It sounded very much as if you were dreaming - day or sleep, either one. Thanks mae! I wanted to create a sort of dream-like poem about...

Don't see any misspellings, except the ones in the last line which were on purpose... This is only my second poem ever, so I'm not sure what you mean by tell words? :?

Did see an it's its mistake though ](*,)

Enough Pretensions (crits okay)

I've been absent from the site a while and I wanted to kickstart myself back into it this summer. So I wrote this "proem," let it sit a while then edited it, so it's quite rough. Feel free to leave what comments you like. I'm a bit unsatisfied with the middle, but don't know how to fix it. Enough Pr...

Poem for Descartes Crits ok

This is a poem I intend to attach to my Descartes essay (as a sort of poetic disproof). Thoughts? Suggestions? It came about as an amusing image I had during class. (The argument of Descartes is that if we can doubt something, we must doubt it. However I think, therefore I am, and God exists also, a...

Good to hear from you, Karma. But you owe me an ending to "I Dreamt of Bees." Or else title your next book "Waiting for the Next Shoe to Drop." You left me hanging back on WG6. Funny you should mention that, I'm reimagining that project into a different plot for this year's nano. I'll definitely go...
