Re: HELLO IN THERE!

I came back :) I do every so often, just in case. Would love to be in contact with Pengwenn! Any chance? Wish everyone would come to Allpoetry, even if not to enter stuff but to be able to keep in touch, as Jill does. I miss the old gang! :)

lol Excellent, OP! Yeah, it's always some hidden drawback to everything we attempt. As for piece D, hole 4, and the zz nails...we've been there, done that. Usually a disaster. Especially if the "English" instructions were written by a Taiwanese. :)

Yeah, I dread going looking at them. My computer guru promises to go with me and advise me, as I haven't a clue, but he knows what I use it for, etc., so will know which bells and whistles I couldn't care less about having. This one is fine as long as I leave it perpetually turned on. It's when I sh...

I have to disagree with you. There is "real" poetry, that speaks of something universal that can resonate in all of us, and does so in a unique, fresh manner. And there is incredibly bad "poetry" that hauls out every cliche about love, friendship, nature or whatever, with trite over-used phrases and...

I agree with your feelings about being compared with other writers. I have a poetry student on another site who keeps trying to compare himself with Robert Frost and others. Which is ridiculous. He is Singaporean. All his experiences and lifestyle are in the Asian way. Frost was a New England Yankee...

Hi, Hiker...glad to see some new poems being posted here. It's been unbelievably quiet. I'm trying to get things moving by starting to post poetry challenges again. Please exercise your muscles on the new one (or older ones). :) On this poem...it seems to me that you have the makings of two poems he...

POETRY CHALLENGE

Looks like I've been posting the Tuesday challenge on a sunday! :D But I catch it when I can. Hope we'll have a few venture to take these on this week. 1. How about stretching the imagination with the word "Birdhouse"? Go abstract as far as you want as long as there's one thin strand that connects. ...

Hey, nice job CP, with a little bit of wistfulness in there too. Hummingbirds, bleeding hearts in the garden, lots of little things like that, do the same for me too. Memories are wonderful things to have.
Now how about a seagull?? :D

Hiiiii, Hiss...I see you been lifting weights again!

Good write! My Dad used to take me ice fishing. I'd skate while he fished and then he'd cook pork chops on the end of an ice chisel over the fire. Ah, those days....:)

The bird that I keep on that green-leafed branch in my heart, has begun singing and wherever I turn the absence of winter's cold grasp is evident. I feel like floating paper boats...
