Hello

It has been a long, long time since I visited WordTrip. I have been working on my next book which I recently submitted to the publisher. I have had a rocky couple of years. In early 2008, my old publisher declined to pick up my next book so I had to start all over again. I am now with http://www.Sav...

I have a Dell XPS M1210. It is smaller than most laptops, but has enough power to do anything I need to do. I write my blogs and books on my laptop. I do all the photoshop artwork on my laptop. I view and manage all the photos I have collected. I maintain email contact with all my contacts. I use Mi...

Continuing Series

Hello all, Some may remember me. I have been popping in and out of WordTrip for quite some time. I am an aspiring author like most everyone who roams these electronic halls. In 2006, I published "Marines in the Garden of Eden" with Berkley Publishing. I am currently working on my next book, "New Daw...

Hello All, I just logged in and noticed that I haven't posted since January. It has been a busy 18 months for me. And, now that things are winding down, I am jumping headlong into my biggest writing project yet. Three months ago, I started research and interviews for my next book. It will tell the s...

I have a special motivation. I am on a mission to provide detailed accounts of America's sons and daughters at war. The men and women in uniform today are the best soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines to have served in our military. Their stories are truely amazing and they need to be documented fo...

As you all know. Writing is not a career which makes one rich. I have not yet received my first royalties check (any day now). So, I was forced to go back to work. I am currently on a consulting assignment in Ft Worth Texas (I design computer chips). With a fulltime job and a calander full of book s...

Jillstar, When I was speaking of TV, I meant that television has a tremendous reach. It's is possibly not the best venue for readers to get a feel for an author's writing, but it is the best outlet to get exposure. I see the biggest problem in marketing our work as just letting people know our books...

My agent told me that the average number of copies sold of any given title is 3,000. When you consider Dan Brown, Tom Clancy and JK Rawlings, that doesn't leave many copies for us to sell.

I'm Finished

My manuscript is finished. I FedEx'd it to my agent today. She is going to take it to my publisher, Berkley, tomorrow. One down and one to go. I just finished "Marines in the Garden of Eden," but I have been commissioned to write "U.S. Marine in Iraq - 2003" for Osprey Publishing, too. They only wan...

I just heard from my literary agent. Putnam Penguin has made an offer to publish my book, "MARINES IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN." We still have contract negotiations to get through but I think it is safe to say that the only thing left to do now is finish writing the manuscript. It took me 11 years to fini...
