Whoop...whoop!!! The writing muses have graced me with their presence again. I started a novel back in 2004 while taking a writing workshop, and have done very little with it since then. I discovered the manuscript while snowed in during the February ice storms, and a couple of weeks ago started wor...

Reading back through this thread, I am reminded of my preference of handwriting over drafting on a laptop. This is still my preference; however, at the ripe old age of 31 my hands are starting to show signs of rheumatoid arthritis. My mother was my age when she was diagnosed with RA, and I am learni...

Cooper episode. Great show!!! So...what have I been up to over the past year? I wish I could say it's...

They ran a "making of" the movie prior to the start of all of the previews, and Maurice Sendak was very much involved in the making of the movie...so I hope so. It is one of my all-time favorite books, and love that I have nephews to read it to now.

Well, if this song creeps into my dreams, then I might need to discuss going back on anti-depressants. It's one of the saddest songs I've ever heard, and after I researched it...it really depressed me.

Ever have a day when a song just gets stuck in your head? You try to listen to it to satisfy that trigger in your brain, and then listen to something else to get THAT song out of your head. But it keeps coming back. That happened to me today. I was having a great day, and this song didn't match the ...

So, tonight was a milestone in my life...a truly monumental occurrence happened. I now know how Susan Lucci felt the night she won her Daytime Emmy. I finally bowled over 100...in fact, I bowled a 111. It was truly exhilarating. I bowl on a company league, and bowled almost every week last year. I c...

Wow...it's been too long since I've posted on this blog. What have I been up to since December 31, 2007? Well, for most of 2008, I worked two jobs. It was fun until it quit being fun. I quite my part-time job this February and prayed for the Lord to show me a way to make up for that missing income. ...

Hi ya'll...I'm back!!! It's been awhile since I have last posted on this forum. Sorry to say that part of the reason was that I didn't have time to read or write  . But my life has calmed down again, and I'm back to one of the activities that I love the most. So how's everyone been?

Wow, it's been awhile since I have posted in this thread. Another indication that I didn't do much writing in 2007. I was reading back through this thread, and found a little discussion that got a little heated where another poster suggested that I focus. He's right. I had a conversation with a frie...

Our family has a knack for producing what we like to call precocious little girls. My cousin's three year old daughter is no different. My cousin and her family were at her husband's parents for Christmas, and they were getting ready to take pictures. Maggie was in an adorable little dress that look...

I think X makes an excellent point. I have family members who exclusively listen to NPR and others who exclusively watch Fox News. I try to ride the middle. I like listening to Diane Rehm on NPR, Glenn Beck (who makes me laugh more than I would like to admit), and then I just kind of flip the rest o...

Didn't achieve my '07 resolution. The only writing I did this past year was in my personal journal. However, I have a goal of having a novel written by my 30th birthday which falls in April 2009. So, I have a goal of getting at least 50,000 words written this year.

I made it back from San Francisco. I had a great time!!! It was fun to be a tourist, and I learned a lot. I especially learned a lot about the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, because it was mentioned on every single tour I took. The race went well...at least, I finished. I tripped and fell at about 7.5...

I used to be an avid 5ker, but now I don't even bother. I am thinking about doing a sprint or Olympic distance triathlon next year. My only fear is that I haven't been on bicycle in close to 20 years...
