Wordtrip's 2nd Annual Free Short Story Contest

This is our seventh writing contest (and 2nd annual Free Short Story Contest), and will once again be judged by our staff.

Rules:
1.) You must be a member to enter.
2.) Each member can submit only one Short Story (fiction) of up to 2500.
3.) The genre and subject is up to you.
4.) We, the staff, will pick the winner.
5.) Our standard Rules apply
6.) Entry fee is FREE
7.) Entry deadline is January 30th, 2005
8.) Winners will be announced on or before February 28th, 2005.
9.) All winners will be placed in the Wordtrip.com Gallery

11.) Wordtrip Merchandise Prize Packages will consist of a variety of Wordtrip branded items to be determined at management's discretion. Some of the items contained may be Wordtrip T-Shirts, Tote bags, Notebooks, Bookmarks, or Mugs.

Prizes:
1st place prize is a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate, a copy of Renegade Writer, and a Wordtrip Merchandise Prize Package valued at $50

2nd place prize is a $5 Amazon Gift Certificate, and a Wordtrip Merchandise Prize Package valued at $30

3rd place prize is a Wordtrip Merchandise Prize Package valued at $25

4th place prize is a Wordtrip Merchandise Prize Package valued at $15

5th place prize is a Wordtrip Merchandise Prize Package valued at $10

Additional prizes may be awarded depending on
the number of total entries.
