His body of work isn't impressive if you count published items, but is if you count quality. Why isn't there an antholgy of most (if not all) of his stuff? You can only get a few at a time collected together...

Good question. I went back to the 13 Dick books on my shelf and found an essay from the The New York Times (Nov. 24, 2002) I'd tucked away.

Laura Miller, an editor at Salon.com, said, "A writer who pounded out dozens of novels and scores of stories in California between the 1950s and his death in 1982, Dick has his share of champions, ranging from rock musicians to French postmodernists, Since his best work was published as pulp science fiction, they've had their hands full just trying to win him a little credibility. Meanwhile, almost unremarked, Dick's sensibility has seeped wide and deep into contemporary life."

Amen that. But count him also the prompter for cinema artists, giving us Blade Runner, Total Recall and Minority Report. Probably others I've overlooked. And, in lieu of an anthology, there're always bookstores and his official site, http://www.philipkdick.com/ to keep his work alive.
